HSN Section Master

Add and maintain various Harmonized System of Nomenclature Sections used for classifying the goods under the GST through this master. Further, these Sections are used for generating HSN Codes for goods through HSN Code Master option.

A list of already existing HSN Sections will be displayed as follows -

Search:

Enter any text you want to search in the list below. The search is applicable to all columns of the list. Once the text is entered, press <ENTER> key. As a result, the list will be refreshed with all those records that contain the entered text fully or partially. In order to go back to the original list, remove the text from the box and press <ENTER> key again.

HSN Sections can be added, edited, and viewed provided the Role associated with the currently logged-in user through User Management has the respective rights to do so.

To 'Add' an HSN Section, click on the button and to 'Edit', click on the icon on its corresponding record. To 'View' details of a particular HSN Section, <DoubleClick> on that record. As a result, following screen will be displayed -

Field Description of HSN Section Master

Section Code:

(Type : Alphanumeric, Length : 10)

Denotes the Code of the HSN Section .

While 'Adding', enter the unique Section code. The system will check that the unique Code is entered by the user.

In case of 'Edit' and 'View', HSN Code will be displayed automatically for the selected record. It can not be changed.

Section Description:

(Type : Alphanumeric, Length : 500)

Denotes the description of the HSN Section.

Vie

While 'Adding', enter the description of the new Section Code.

In case of 'Edit' and 'View', Section Description will be displayed automatically for the selected HSN Section Code. You can change it in 'Edit' mode.

Once done, click on 'Save' button to save or 'Cancel' button to discard. The control will go back to the list.
